'Unity' - Lubricated by Emotion

Regardless of where you stand on the Charismatic Movement, whether it was initially a move of God, or a false revival plotted by Jesuits, or worse, it presently is being used as a main tool to draw evangelicals into the ecumenical river. Current evidence includes a recent pastor`s conference held by Kenneth Copeland.

Featured in the conference was Episcopal Bishop Tony Palmer, who has worked extensively in Copeland`s international ministries. He is also a long-time personal friend of Archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio, now Pope Francis I. Palmer mentioned to the pope that he was attending Copeland`s conference and the pope suggested that they record a video message from Francis to the Copeland pastors.

Palmer used his cell phone to film an impromptu greeting that Palmer played for the conference. The pope starts out with the scripture to love God and love your neighbor and right away redefines all "neighbors" as "brother and sister," including Palmer as "my bishop brother." He acknowledges that he and his listeners are "separated" because of "misunderstandings throughout history." He claims to be "...yearning that this separation comes to an end and gives us communion. ...And we have diverse traditions. But we have to encounter one another as brothers."

The pope is known for his humble warmth and he turns it on at the end of his message: "And let us pray to the Lord that He unites us all. Come on, we are brothers. Let`s give each other a spiritual hug and let God complete the work that He has begun. And this is a miracle; the miracle of unity has begun.... He will complete this miracle of unity. I ask you to bless me, and I bless you. From brother to brother, I embrace you. Thank you."

One of the criticisms of the Charismatic Movement is that they have abandoned truth for emotion. Looking back over their 50 years of history, there is no doubt that emotion has clouded their vision and the pope is continuing to capitalize on this.

The millions who died at the hands of the popes were only the result of "misunderstandings" based on "diverse traditions." Now, all we need do is give "spiritual hugs" all around and put on the yoke. Never mind that our "yoke fellow" has a different gospel, a wafer Jesus and adores a Virgin Mary goddess. Once the yoke is firmly in place, we will discover that we are strapped to the Beast of Revelation 13.

At the end of the pope`s message, Copeland invited Palmer to the stage where he used his cell phone to video a response. He led the pastors in enthusiastic prayer for the pope, using Ephesians 4:13 to stress their pledge for "unity."
In Palmer`s speech to the conference, he declared: "The Catholic and Charismatic Renewal is the hope of the Church." The crowd cheered, as he asked, "Brothers and sisters, Luther`s protest is over. Is yours?"

Of course, this was an early theme of the Charismatic Renewal when Paul Crouch was hosting Roman priests on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. At one point he stated that he was discontinuing use of the word "Protestant" since he no longer saw the need to protest anything about Roman Catholicism.

Since few in the church now believe that Rome is the harlot of Revelation 17 & 18, the door is wide open to this deception. God has called Chick Publications to remind the church why millions died for "protesting" the idolatry of the pope. If you look beyond the emotion, any unity will only come to those who throw out the preserved Bible, which clearly says, "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues," (Rev. 18:4).
