Dear Ones in Christ,
Some time back, a pastor visited me with an amazing story. The church that he was just given had been through a scandal and a split. He was upset, to say the least, over an incident that had just taken place.
He told me that, at the end of his last sermon, a young lady came forward in tears and prayed the sinner's prayer. She told the pastor that she was a witch. My reaction was: what had caused her to attend his meeting? His reply stunned me. He said that she confessed that she was there to buy drugs being sold in the youth group in his church.
Shocking!!! Is it time for revival???
Charles Finney warned that a nation will go down if the men behind the pulpits refuse to expose and attack sin. He thundered that message loud and clear. But now we are stuck with a new monster called tolerance. Its goal is to close down our churches and cripple our pastors with hate laws.
The prophet, Isaiah, warned us about terrible conditions to come. He cried, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
We are there, beloved! Darkness is covering our land and the TV sets in our homes are becoming open sewers destroying our kids.
This is why we at Chick Publications are doing our best to reach these children.
Halloween is the greatest night we have to reach kids with the gospel. When they come onto your porch yelling "trick or treat," give them candy but also gospel tracts for kids. Do they get saved reading them? You bet they do. So don't miss this golden opportunity. If we don't reach them, who will?
Your brother in Christ,
