Mission Fund Report: January 2024

Your mission giving keeps growing, and missionaries keep asking for more Chick tracts every week! Read here how your giving is being used, and what’s happening worldwide!

Missionary Scott Sumner has received the 50,000 Chick tracts we sent him and he emailed us some pictures of the tract distribution. See below:

The door is still wide open for the Gospel in the Philippines, where 1 out of every 2 people is under age 25. We have a new batch of requests from well over 110 ministries needing Chick tracts to reach their nation. In fact, there are so many that they will not fit in a 20-foot ocean shipping container, so we are preparing to send a larger, 40-foot container soon. This will be our 4th container! We have received many pictures of people reading these tracts that were sent in the previous containers.

Missionaries Joshua and Priscilla Leib needed more Chick tracts for their outreaches in Italy. 80,000 tracts are on the way to them by ocean freight.

Listen to Joshua Leib tell about his family's ministry in Palermo, Italy.

As you may have read, the United Kingdom (England, Ireland, Scotland) is now openly hostile to the Gospel. A recent survey showed that nearly a quarter of all UK young people said they were willing to see the Bible banned if they felt it contained “hate speech,” unless the offending parts were “edited out.” Even today, street preachers are sometimes arrested because the message of the cross is an “offense.” Cross Mission, a group sent out from South Korea, is bringing the Gospel back to this home of the English KJV Bible. Another 30,000 Chick tracts were recently shipped to their brave evangelists for street work.

Working with Grace Missionary Society, you helped provide 10,000 Bulgarian tracts for this largely Orthodox nation. After two generations of Bulgarians under communism were forbidden to worship the Lord, the Orthodox church has become something of a state religion. But new freedoms for evangelical Christians have risen. Although non-Orthodox churches are often viewed as “cults,” evangelicals are now able to pass out tracts. You have equipped them with a powerful tool.

Now that they have moved the church to a larger location, right in the city, Missionary James Herringson and his workers needed more French tracts, so you provided 10,000 more. Chick tracts are helping this new church get established.

Workers from Compassion International are busy getting the Gospel onto the streets of Addis Ababa. So far, they have reached thousands of people with the Gospel, and have seen more than 250 saved using Chick tracts in Amharic that you provided! In the picture below, we see one of the workers discussing Jesus with a man to whom he has given a tract.

Dave Darling, of Campaigns For Christ, is bringing a team down to Merida, Yucatan to work with Missionary Mitch Muller in a big campaign in Merida. Thank you for providing 50,000 Chick tracts as ammunition. We have already seen how people in this country are impacted by Chick tracts!

Since the last report, we received an emergency call for another 100,000 Ukrainian and Russian tracts for the desperate people caught up in the terrible war in this country. Thanks to your help, they were included in another container being sent out of White Horse Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. This faithful church has been pumping relief supplies and literature into Ukraine since the start of the war.

Missionary Eli Guiltner received another shipment of 10,000 Japanese “The Slugger” tracts. The Japanese are crazy about baseball, and this title can connect with them. Guiltner told us:

“I put out thousands of gospel tracts across Tokyo through apartment distribution, going to a nearby stadium, going to train stations early in the morning, and giving them out during personal contacts.”

Japan is probably the most difficult mission field in the world, because of unique Japanese cultural issues. Guiltner explains these in his blog.

You Can Help Reach Lost Souls Worldwide by Giving to the Chick Mission Fund!

Missionaries contact us every week asking for Chick tracts to be the “attention-getter” for their evangelism. We never know where the requests will come from and are so grateful to those who give so that we can keep saying “yes” to missionaries' requests.

Although we are not legally structured to give tax-deductible receipts, we definitely know how to get literature into missionaries' hands. If you would like to help extend the reach of a missionary with Chick tracts, you can donate today with a credit or debit card on our website:

Or, if you would rather mail a check, please send your donation to:

100% of the funds you send to the Chick Mission Fund are used to ship literature to missionaries.

We receive requests frequently from missionaries who need your help.
