Fourteen years ago I sat in church as the pastor read Acts 3:26 to the congregation: "Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities." But the pastor didn't say God's "Son" Jesus. He said, "His Servant Jesus."

Wait a minute. They don't mean the same thing. I'm a servant of God. And sure, I'm an adopted son by faith. But I'm not His Son! Jesus is God's only begotten Son, and not merely His servant!

God raised up His servant Lazarus, too, but Lazarus can't take away our sin. We're not saved by faith in God's servant. We're saved by faith in the only begotten Son of God. These two words mean completely different things. One of them is right. The other one is dreadfully wrong.

What about 1 Corinthians 1:18? It's been changed, too. "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." But my pastor's Bible didn't say that. It said, "to us who are being saved."

Being saved? You're either saved or lost. Are you "being saved?" or are you saved? That's the kind of lie we would expect to find in a Roman Catholic Bible. And it's there - but this was the New King James Version!

That filled me with enough questions to spend literally years finding out the truth. And the answers I found astounded me.

Did you know there are really only two Bibles? There are hundreds of versions, but only two Bibles.

One of them comes from Antioch of Syria, blessed with apostles, where the disciples were called Christians first (Acts 11:26). The other comes from a "philosopher's paradise," where people loved to disagree and fight over words and religion - Alexandria, Egypt.

If you scratch any knowledgeable Bible scholar deep enough, he will ultimately reveal that his faith is in one of those two cities, Antioch or Alexandria. That's because his Bible will have come from one of those two streams.

I wrote Did the Catholic Church Give Us the Bible? to show you the true history of both streams. It reveals the Northern, apostolic stream of Antioch. It is a history of preserving God's words, right up to the King James Bible.

The book also sheds light on the Southern, perverted, polluted stream of Alexandria, Egypt that seeped into Rome. It was the basis for almost every modern Bible in existence, and even influenced the changed words in the counterfeit "New King James."

You will see how God preserved His Bible, as well as how Satan through his "scholars" perverted his own Bible. And you will be faced with a simple choice: Am I going to trust that God was able to preserve his very words in the King James Version, or muddle along with bibles that were put together with man's opinion of what God might have said in the "original autographs" that God allowed to get lost by the early church?

The choice will be obvious.
