Dear Ones in Christ,

Unsaved people seem to be stiff-necked about hearing the gospel when things are going smoothly, when the economy is good. But even in prosperous times, when someone dies, a sort of hush comes over the people. Faces go white and the conversations shift towards God and what happens after death. It seems that it takes a real shock to wake them up.

Since that horrifying attack in New York and the Pentagon, people are stunned and thinking about death. But the horror didn't stop there. The anthrax scares and continual threats have people very concerned, constantly watching the news reports, canceling plans and trips.

The face of America has changed. and you can rest assured this will continue for a long time to come.

What has this to do with tracts? Never before have people been more receptive to the Gospel. You can hear people saying, "I think I'll start going back to church." They are beginning to think about the most important decision of their lives. It's time for soul winners to take advantage of this opportunity. The Bible tells us about perilous times coming. It looks like they are here, beloved.
