Dear ones in Christ,
One Christmas, about 40 years ago, my wife put up a little manger scene in our living room. My daughter was about six years old and she invited a little boy inside to see it. He asked, "Who's the kid?". The poor little fellow was very serious. He came from a broken home and knew nothing about Jesus.
Much of the world hasn't a clue about the Lord Jesus. They don't understand His incredible awesomeness, His majesty and power... most folks are in total darkness. The frenzy of Christmas is hitting again and there is a pseudo-religious atmosphere mixed with Santa, reindeer, and distorted manger scenes. People will be watching a few movies about Scrooge, and "It's A Wonderful Life"... looking for a "good feeling" in the nostalgia. But it is in this setting that people respond to the tract "The Greatest Story Ever Told ." Here, they are introduced to the Lord with an accurate account of His birth and the prophecies that foretold about Him. These tracts are excellent for those mailing Christmas cards during the holiday season. And no shopper or shopkeeper can resist them. Most will thank you.
While we're walking through the beautifully decorated shops, it's all too easy to forget that so many of those people live in spiritual prisons, suffering pain from broken relationships, loved ones on drugs, and family illness. After reading "The Greatest Story Ever Told" they won't ask the question, "Who's the kid?." They will have been exposed to the truth of the gospel. And the truth can set them free from whatever they struggle with. That's what Jesus did for you. Let's remember to share Him this season.
Your brother in Christ,
